Journalist I've written about some of the most exciting trends in marketing since 2001, including my November 2004 cover story for NZ Marketing Magazine, Logging into Blogging.

Right now I'm writing regularly for NZ Herald's The Business, Marketing Magazine, and the exciting new Idealog.

Screenwriter While marketing is fascinating, an even stronger passion is filmmaking. I'm an aspiring screenwriter with two feature scripts in development and many ideas on the way.

As both a journalist and participant in the film industry, I'm watching closely the development of new ways for independent filmmakers to get their product to the marketplace.

Copywriter As well as a journalist and aspiring filmmaker, I'm also a copywriter. SimonYoungWriters provides all kinds of copy from search-engine friendly website text to advertisements for any media. Our specialty is journalistic-style writing for advertorial, newsletters, direct marketing or long-copy ads.

I'm also interested in leadership, and you can find my musings on the subject at my Leadership Issues Blog.

Who I am I bring to any collaboration:

• birds-eye-view strategic thinking. I make it my business to get a good overview of the industries I'm involved in.
