My names Becs and I own Exposed Adventure Marketing!

I first started the company back in November 2003 where I previously was the Chief Sales Executive for Stay Travel Network (3 years) and prior to that, a Reservations Manager at Oz Experience (also for 3 years). Back in the day as a Restaurant and Bar Manager (5 years) I found the importance of customer service skills and minimum service standards which meant making or breaking a small business. When I left Stray Travel, I also noticed a huge niche in the tourism market for smaller activity and tour operators who were not represented professionally in the market. So from there, I put both of these valuable experiences together, set myself up in Auckland, hired some staff, and proudly EAM have two successful levels of Marketing. Distribution and Sales Representation, where a third product was launched in 2005, Market Consulting.

If you would like to check out our website, youll see that we cater to around 15 different operators per year. With two full time staff in play, that equates to around 80 hours per week. Obliviously the intensity or cost of the contract depends totally on the hours accomplished for the client.

At present I hold the chair for the activity coordinator on the Executive of the Backpacker Tourism Marketing Network. This is on behalf of all of our clients. We volunteer our time, energy and dedication to promote NZ as a Backpacker Destination to all associated International Markets.
EAM also spends a considerable amount of time, effort and money attending international Travel Expos, Tradeshows, and Conferences. This gives us an insight to the market and keeps us up dated in regards of current events and influences that happen within our ever so volatile industry.
